I reserved the venue for a birthday celebration and when I went to pick up the keys I found out that due to a mistake by the manager, the venue had been reserved twice on the same day, so we couldn't enjoy the venue.

I called this morning to rent the space. They told me it was free for the day I needed it. 5 minutes later, they texted me saying they were waiting for my confirmation. After a while, I asked them to confirm the price to make the reservation, and they told me it was already reserved by another girl (whoever pays has the reservation). Which is true, but I think it's terrible that you're telling a client you're waiting for their confirmation instead of telling them there's someone else interested so I can find out if I want it or not. But of course, money is more important. If you want to reserve here, you can pay quickly, otherwise they'll leave you high and dry.
