The Cafè de Mar is a historic place in Mataró. Since the beginning (1930 and before) it has operated as a cooperative. During the Franco regime it remained closed, but it has been recovered and is now run by a cooperative. Some nights there are musical groups or other types of cultural performances. We have always gone there in the evening and have eaten sandwiches, there are many and varied, hot and cold, for everyone's tastes. The quality is good, they don't put just any bread on you. But if you want there are other things to eat. The place is clean, the atmosphere is good, and sometimes you have to book because it fills up quickly.

I love the family atmosphere it has 😍😍😍 people of all ages They have a stage and on Thursdays they have concerts! They have cultural programming! The website is www.cafedemar.cat it's all there😍 They also have games for children and a library where you can bring and take books! Amazing The food is all made by them and it's local! Very good quality in fresh and local products ❤️ They make meals for large groups! It has everything Simply, I LOVE IT

We had lunch there yesterday, Friday. Before entering, they confirmed that the kitchen was still open and we were grateful for that. The food and service were correct, however, the surprise came when we paid, when we were charged the weekend menu price on a Friday at noon, indicating that "in the hospitality industry, the weekend begins on Friday". It would be a good idea to specify this in the price information.
