Not a very good coworking space... The reception is only staffed until 5 pm, and anyone who buys a day pass has to leave by 5 pm. Every normal coworking space has a front desk staffed until at least 6 pm... Two days before Christmas, everyone is already on vacation, and access is no longer possible. The interior design is somewhere between stylish and outdated, resulting in you sitting on a mix of old chairs at a table with a crooked tabletop where your laptop wobbles. It's generally very dark, even in daylight, which is due to the dark interior design and poor lighting. There's no proper place to sit comfortably, chat, or eat. There would be room for two to four couches under the stairs... Meeting people is difficult anyway, as there are hardly any community events. Anyone who likes coffee will unfortunately be disappointed, because the portafilter machine only looks great at first glance. In reality, only one person can make coffee at a time (which always takes forever), and because most people don't use the machine properly, the filters are always dirty, and you end up drinking the coffee that's already run through from the three previous people. I don't know if it's just that or also the beans, but the coffee tastes absolutely awful. I think a regular fully automatic machine would be much better in every respect. Incidentally, there are also coworking spaces (which are cheaper) with fully automatic machines AND a barista who prepares top-notch coffee specialties until the afternoon at no extra cost. There, you also see cleaning staff from morning till night; at Ruby, I haven't seen a single cleaner... I would give it three stars if the price were half as high, but on top of all the criticism, there are exorbitant prices coupled with unnecessary minimum contract terms...

Ich habe einen festen Schreibtisch im Ruby und bin wirklich zu 100% zufrieden. Richtig guter Kaffee aus der Siebträger, tolle Mitmieter und die Ansprechpartner vor Ort sind wirklich immer da wenn man etwas benötigt. Ich hatte mir im Vorfeld viele Workspaces in Düsseldorf angesehen, und ich finde das Paket im Ruby einfach am besten: Tolles, modernes und vor allem helles Büro, ein Mix aus Ruhe und Community, 24/7 Zugang mit Chip und die Lage ist unschlagbar, direkt am Carlsplatz.

On December 10th, we were looking for a meeting room in Düsseldorf and came across Ruby Carl Workspace. From the initial contact and requesting a quote to the booking, everything went smoothly and without any complications. The workspace was always reachable by phone and provided support whenever we had questions. The workspace itself is modernly equipped, and everything you could need for a meeting room was provided. The location is also excellent: If you're staying in a centrally located hotel in Düsseldorf, the workspace is easily accessible on foot. There are also good dining options nearby at Carlsplatz for lunch. Overall, the entire experience was truly excellent, and the feedback from the whole team was consistently positive. Our personal highlight was the barista-style coffee in the lobby, where we could even try our hand at using an espresso machine. That added a special touch.

We had a wonderful evening at Ruby Carl. Members from Düsseldorf and the surrounding area of the AI Opportunities Community will be meeting regularly in many cities and regions across Germany.
