I've rarely eaten so delicious food. The hotel is located in a secluded spot by a beautiful pond.

We had a very nice weekend there. Great wellness area.

We had booked an overnight stay with sauna access in the wellness area from December 28th to 29th, 2025. We were able to check in from 3:00 PM onwards. There, we (my wife and I) were told that only some of the saunas would be available. These would close at 7:00 PM. The outdoor saunas were closed. When we arrived at the wellness area, we found three small saunas. It was very noisy; the pumps from the whirlpool were loud, as were the sounds from the swimmers in the pool, which was accessible via an open staircase one floor below. After our first sauna session, we looked for a relaxation room, but it was also very noisy there, and we couldn't find any peace and quiet. We were both fed up, so my wife went to our room. I wanted to do another sauna session, but unfortunately, all three saunas were already occupied. At that point, I'd finally had enough and went back to our room. We couldn't use the saunas the next day because they didn't open until 1 p.m. That's not what I call a spa! Breakfast the next morning was good. What was a bit annoying was the staff patrolling the tables every 30 seconds. I had just finished my meal, still holding my cutlery, when I was asked if I could clear my plate. The spa weekend was a complete disappointment. We can't recommend it and won't be going back.

A very nice and well-maintained hotel located between Varel and Dangast. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly, although I personally found the somewhat forced use of first names a bit off-putting. Those driving a larger car should avoid the underground parking garage; we could only get our Enyaq out by reversing. The restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The spa area is highly recommended. We would gladly return.
