Easy to book online. Nice place with all facilities: basic furnitures, kitchen, study rooms, gym and so on.

I’ve lived in several dorms, and this was by far the worst. There is absolutely no privacy. The staff can enter your room at essentially any time, and the door security is extremely weak. They have already entered my room twice without permission. One of those times even happened while I wasn’t in the room. I felt extremely unsafe during my entire stay. In addition, the rent is very high, yet the facilities frequently break down. This is one of the most regrettable choices I’ve made recently. I would not recommend living here.

Living in Basecamp for almost 2 years seemed as a task of it's own. The management does little conflict resolving, they seem to prefer rather to put you on the street, when trouble occurs. In my opinion they have a hard time managing the establishment and they seem to have problems running the place in order. Even though the management changed, my problems remained unsolved. I hope that the music issue is not going to be problematic in the future any longer as it was durring my stay (sometimes calling the police is really the best option!). The noise in Building B is common for the weekends, so staying in lower floors can be harsh unless you want to confront the party people yourself. There is a problem with groups of people in Basecamp. Some groups are ok, some not. Personally I had bad experience with turkish and Iranian students (not all of course, but regarding the noise and behaviour they were the worst). There seems to be an unwritten law in Basecamp that you have to respect. That's why I found it as rather unwelcoming place. The price is not cheap and the rooms not particularly luxuriously furnished. They fixed room issues relatively smooth. Behaviour of basebudies (not all) is sometimes also questionable.

After living here for over a year, here’s my honest take: 1) Helpfulness of Basebuddy and Staff – 9/10 The Basebuddies and on-site staff are all respectful, kind, and genuinely helpful. They really do their best to support residents. 2) Building – 6/10 • The shower is poorly designed: the floor is sloped outward, so water spills all over the bathroom every time. • The facilities are nice overall — the cinema room and gym are great additions. • The laundry room, however, is often full, and some machines don’t work, which makes doing laundry a frustrating experience. • The room itself is quite gray and feels a bit dull, but the bed is comfortable and the wardrobe is decent. • The shared kitchen can be either great or terrible depending on your roommates. It really needs a drying rack and more cooking stations — there just aren’t enough for eight people. 3) Upper Management – 0/10 Unfortunately, the management (apparently based in Berlin) is the weakest part. It feels like they’re trying to squeeze as much profit as possible from the property: • My rent went up from €490 to €630. • There’s a clear understaffing problem — sometimes there are no Basebuddies available to help or cover check-ins or help people, sometimes for entires days!! • They introduced an €80 lockout fee, and that money doesn’t even go to the Basebuddy who comes to help. • They’ve also cut down the number of resident events, which makes the community feel less active. They are not investing in repairing the facilities that much. Overall, the local team is doing a great job with what they have, but the decisions from upper management really hurt the experience.
Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with BaseStack.
Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.
While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to BaseStack to discuss accommodating your adjustments.
For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.
On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.
Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
Basecamp Göttingen operates during regular business hours, as indicated above. For access outside of these hours, please contact the operator directly to inquire about any available options.
