The place is so nice and comfortable for working. I had a coffee and was there for around 2–3 hours. The coffee was fine. If you order a coffee, your first hour of working is free, but for every other hour I think I paid 7 €.

4 Walls knows how to create expectations. The concept sounds well-thought-out, the aesthetics are contemporary – you can tell someone created a mood board. However, anyone planning to actually work there should have a certain tolerance for discomfort. The seating seems optimized more for Instagram stories than for back pain. I would describe the atmosphere as "Scandinavian-style reserved" – which is probably intentional. The price suggests an experience that is then interpreted somewhat creatively in details like cleanliness and service. Perhaps that's part of the concept: you're paying for the idea of a premium workspace, not necessarily for its execution. In conclusion: A place with potential – for those who prioritize aesthetics over ergonomics and appreciate understated service.

4 WALLS is my absolute favorite café. I always receive a warm welcome, it's very cozy, decorated with attention to detail, and therefore invites you to linger. Whether for a delicious coffee or a refreshing Aperol Spritz after work. Highly recommended!

The restrooms were so filthy that I went to the Italian restaurant next door instead, and when I asked for the Wi-Fi password, I was met with an annoyed "it's right there" – that's definitely not what I call service. I paid almost €10 for a cappuccino that was too hot and a (decent) piece of cake, while a mouse was running around the room – it really put me off my food. After an hour, I was asked to pay extra (for co-working). They should have told me that.
4 Walls Hamburg is open during regular business hours listed above. For any other requirements, make sure to contact the operator directly.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with 4 Walls.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with 4 Walls, who is more than happy to help out.
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
