One of those airports where it’s just not a very good design - you think you’re being organised going to the gate early, but then you get there and there’s nothing there except a gift shop 😏 My advice: go security at the very last chance - there’s no food or drink after except overpriced pringles etc Passport control very busy, even with most checking stations open. Nice staff everywhere (really nice) but the airports design lets it down. A bit confusing and I’m so hungry.

It's a huge airport. For me, who gets lost easily, it was good to find friendly staff willing to help.

I'm beginning to hate this airport. Lufthansa always requires a bus to get to the terminal, we're always late. The passport control is a joke, it's so slow and they seem to make no great use of automatic passport control. If you have a choice go via Dusseldorf

The tall customs officer at Terminal 2 was careless and dismissive. The interaction made us feel uncomfortable, as he barely acknowledged us and directed us to the general counter without even checking the passports we were holding in our hands. As a result, we ended up waiting at the wrong counter for 30 minutes. Even after we were informed that we could use the shorter line, he still did not allow us to leave the queue and move to the correct counter. For the first time, I experienced something that felt close to racism in Germany.
