One of the smoking areas has an open staircase, forcing you to wait in the smoky stench at gate C08. That's unacceptable! Outrageous!

Disastrous organization at Hamburg Airport: Despite a 3-hour lead time, I almost missed my flight. Check-in: more than 1 hour, even though 7 counters were open. Security check: 35 minutes. I also booked Slot & Fly online beforehand to save time. In the end, it was slower than the regular security check because only one counter was open. The regular security area was faster. Even if the service is free: If it doesn't offer any benefit but wastes time, it's pointless. Passport control: 35 minutes. Passport control was extremely poorly organized and extremely slow, as there were obviously too many travelers and far too few open counters. Customs: Unfriendly treatment. I wanted to get a tax refund confirmation. The officer was extremely annoyed and rude shortly before closing time. He obviously had no interest in explaining anything, only in finishing his shift quickly. That's no way to treat travelers. Tax refunds are a service. If something is missing, you can explain it calmly instead of being rude. The fact that the customs counter closes as early as 7:30 p.m., even though international flights depart after 9 p.m., is completely unrealistic. A real disgrace for Hamburg Airport. Such a procedure at an international airport is absolutely unacceptable. Poor planning and understaffing at all levels.

TOP! Automatisches Einchecken mit Kofferabgabe ohne Wartezeit funktioniert perfekt! Nur noch durch den Sicherheitscheck und schon ist man an den Gates. Übrigens: Sehr saubere Sanitärräume, sowohl im Terminal als auch bei den Kofferbändern (Ankunft).
