AMAZING! Absolutely AMAZING! We spontaneously decided to go inside, having had a great impression of the outdoor seating years ago in the summer. This place surpassed even that. The taste was simply incredible! We haven't experienced the natural flavor of ripe tomatoes and eggplants in ages. The service was super friendly, kind, attentive, and helpful. Freshly prepared food, a simple yet creative menu, and vegan options. What more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back.

A very casual location in a former slaughterhouse! You sit at small tables along tiled walls – quirky and largely preserved as it was during the slaughterhouse's operation. When the weather's nice, you can sit comfortably in the courtyard. The pizza menu is limited, but every pizza is absolutely delicious! The ajoli sauce for the crunchy pizza crust is especially recommended.

Within the venerable walls of the old slaughterhouse in Karlsruhe lies Fettschmelze – and the moment you step inside, you sense that this is no ordinary pizza place, but rather a haven where enjoyment, art, and community intertwine in a warm, harmonious dance. I sat down at a table that seemed to be made of rough wood, as if it had stored stories of countless evenings within it. Around me: light and shadow, old bricks, friendly voices – and the subtle promise of something special. When I saw the first slice of pizza before me, I knew: Here, food isn't just served, it's celebrated. The pizza itself was a work of art: the crust crispy at the edges, soft and velvety in the center. The toppings – as abundant as they were carefully chosen. Every bite: a feast. The harmony of intense flavors was particularly striking – neither overpowering nor under-seasoned. And yet, there was that final spark – that spark of passion that made it palpable: Here, they love what they do. The atmosphere perfectly complemented the experience. It was loud enough to feel alive, yet quiet enough to allow for quiet reflection. The service was attentive, friendly, and present – without ever making you feel like you were being watched. If I had to deduct a point – and this is precisely why I'm giving it four stars – it would be because in one or two places, that little something extra was missing, the element that elevates an experience from good to exceptional: perhaps an even bolder dish, an even more surprising flavor, a slightly more unusual accompaniment. But this doesn't detract from the overall impression – quite the opposite: it leaves room for your own discovery. In short: Fettschmelze is more than just a pizza place – it's a place to connect, to enjoy, to unwind. Those who dine there don't just get full – they are inspired. I'll gladly return – and I highly recommend this place.

Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Fettschmelze.
