I generally like staples as a company, but I did not have a good experience at this location in particular. I went in there to inquire about a print, and when I was redirected to the printing & service section (by the only friendly and professional employee in the store), the staff at the printing services aisle made me feel incredibly stupid and like I was being judged. I had a few questions, and the first employee walked away after our initial interaction to never be seen again. When I asked someone else, I asked for printing on A4 paper. That staff member unkindly said that North America uses Letter paper, as if it was my first day on Earth. The difference between A4 and Letter is negligible and generally, when you’re living in Canada where British and American vernacular are interchangeable, you can infer that someone asking for A4 would be content with Letter-sized paper. After this interaction, I did not want to continue with their service as frankly, I felt like I was being judged for the term that I used. This may seem like a small thing; however, to me, it felt like a micro aggression, which I did not appreciate. I am Canadian and Toronto is a multicultural city. If I felt like I was being judged for the terms I used, knowing the difference, I can’t imagine how someone new to Canada would feel. The staff here need to work on their professionalism and tone when speaking to customers. I do not expect a lengthy conversation with workers; however, at the bare minimum, I expect professionalism, which is not provided at this particular location.

The perfect co-working space! I organized a co-working day for a few team members from my company and it was everything we were looking for -- clean, great desk space, a variety of seating options (eg a couch area, a kitchen with seating, etc). Aniket in particular was so helpful and accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. We'll definitely be coming back! :)

Joshua has helped me with my Amazon return shipment, hands down the best staples service ever. He was extremely helpful and kind and truly made my day 🙌🏻

I had the absolute worst experience at this location simply trying to print six 11x17 pages. The “simple printing system” is not so simple and for a printing job that should have cost me roughly $6.75, as per their machines stating so, ended up costing me nearly triple that. The employee didn’t load my printing card right and the accurate amount of funds wasn’t reflected when I tried to print. So what did he do but charge me again to get it to where it should’ve been in the first place. I got charged twice for your employees mistake. Then, once my card was actually loaded and I could try to print, 4 of the printers had error codes and weren’t releasing any prints. No one in sight. When I got someone’s attention to see to the printer I had initially tried to use, he got it working and told me to start deleting jobs in hopes that mine would come out first because “who knows how long the error code was up and how many jobs are in the queue”. My print job never came but you can bet the machine took my money! Getting charged yet again for a service I didn’t get. I had to reload a third time. Finally got my pages to print and the ink was smudged on all of them in thick globs. The only resolution was to go to the printing counter and tell them they’d be printing it for me at no charge, which they did. I initially asked to speak to a manager for help with the printers, there was an huge line and only 1 person serving customers and another doing jobs in the back, and was told “they’re all busy over there” and he pointed to multiple employees talking behind the counter at the other end of the store. Truly a baffling experience.

Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Staples Studio, who is more than happy to help out.
Staples Studio - Toronto University Ave operates during regular business hours, as indicated above. For access outside of these hours, please contact the operator directly to inquire about any available options.
Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Staples Studio.
