What an amazing experience dealing with Orillia's finest event space, Creative Nomad. Our mom, Edith Leatherdale. passed away at age 94 on Feb. 22, 2025 and our family decided to honour her on May 30, which was the 45th anniversary of the passing of our dad, Bruce Leatherdale, who died of a heart attack in 1980 at age 49. I first learned of Creative Nomad, when I was MC of the Memories event during the Gordon Lightfoot Days Festival last November. We decided this was the perfect place to hold a Celebration of Life, after we reunited mom with dad during a graveside ceremony. Steph and her team were so wonderful to work with, looking after every detail to make sure our celebration was a success. And success it was. Our guests loved the space and the celebration, and Orillia Mayor Don McIsaac surprised us by declaring May 30 "Bruce and Edith Leatherdale Day" to loud applauses and tears of joy. Also, a shout out to our caterer Tim Clapham of O'Conor Catering. Even the Mayor commented on how great his food was. Overall, a great experience. Thank you. Linda Leatherdale.

Anita, Steph and crew could not have been better or more professional and accommodating. They held a surprise 50th birthday party for my girlfriend and it could not have gone any smoother. I tried several other venues and constantly ran into obstacles that they weren't willing to bend or assist with. Creative Nomad always found solutions and were much more reasonable for pricing. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Had my baby shower here in November 2024 & will absolutely use the space again! The event room is absolutely gorgeous and my guests were thrilled with the overall aesthetic. Staff are so amazing and easy to work with. Communicating with everyone prior to the event was simple and left me stress free

The boardroom meeting space was perfect, and the art complimenting the gallery downstairs was inspiring. Staff were welcoming, pleasant and easily approachable. I left thinking about the next event or meeting we can have here! Highly recommended.

My baby shower was hosted here, it was so simple to book the venue, they were prompt in answering all the questions I had, and the event package was perfect for the shower. The day of the space was perfect and stunning!!!! The brick walls and beams are so beautiful! I would totally recommend this space to host events!
