On my first visit the office lights wouldn't turn on and I had call the security to help me sort it out. Now they've sent me an invoice for "Restoration Fees". So I have a desk in a shared office space and Regus charges 80 CAD to perform restoration of the desk. In the future, I will be avoiding Regus at all costs.

I rented an office at Regus and got hit with a crazy cleaning fee at the end. The place was okay, but the cleaning charge was way too high. They didn't even warn me about it! The fee was ridiculous, way more than other places. It felt like they were just trying to take my money. Don't rent here unless you want to get ripped off. Find somewhere else! (Matt at reception is the best though, no hard feelings there)

If you're considering renting an office here, be prepared for an outrageous "Restoration" fee for cleaning. This fee is a complete rip-off, costing around a month's rent or $4.50 per square foot. Essentially, you'll be gouged with an extra month's rent just for cleaning services. Despite multiple complaints from past clients about the unacceptability of this fee, the management has done nothing to warn future clients about this unethical practice. However, it's important to note that Matt at the reception has been nothing but flawless in his duties. His professionalism and helpfulness stand out in stark contrast to the management's practices. Avoid this place unless you want to be paying exorbitant fees for cleaning services.

I recently had an experience with Regus 125 commerce valley that left me quite frustrated. First, I want to highlight that Matt, the receptionist, was fantastic. He was friendly, efficient, and made the initial part of my experience quite pleasant. It's clear that he takes his job seriously and does it well. However, my satisfaction quickly turned to disappointment when I was informed of the cleaning fees. The company charges an outrageous $4.5 per square foot for cleaning! To put this into perspective, this fee is equivalent to a month's worth of rent for many people. It feels like a blatant money grab and completely overshadowed the positive aspects of my interaction with Matt. In an industry where transparency and fair pricing are crucial, this excessive fee is a huge letdown. I urge Regus to reconsider their pricing strategy. While their service might be good, no amount of friendly reception can justify such exorbitant charges. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and make necessary changes to avoid losing more customers over these unreasonable fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Regus.

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Regus, who is more than happy to help out.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • At Regus - Markham - Commerce Valley West, Private Offices and Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.
