I've been using a dedicated desk for more than two months now and I can say that NEST offers a really great place for my work as web developer. The dedicated desk is big, the shared space is not crowded at all, the other coworkers are very easy-going and the staff is very friendly and approachable. I feel more productive than when I was working from home. Highly recommended!

Terrific co-working location! I've checked out (and rented from) other co-working locations in "The Hammer", and Nest is by far the best one I have found. Am thrilled to now be renting a private office here as a regular "nestling". Highlights for me include true 24/7 access; fresher, cleaner space than others; the quiet I need for "heads down" work, and security that makes me feel very safe working at any time of the day or night. The location is central - and there is good access to local cafes and coffee shops. Management is onsite, and super responsive. And, I'm also enjoying meeting other "nestlings" and learning about the cool stuff they are doing!

Edit: As a full time university student new in the area I was really interested in this type of co-working environment. I recently started working in the area (which is the only reason I even knew about Nest) and admit I do regularly park in their staff lot because I am a young woman leaving work at 3am and It's a safe place to park? I didn't think would be a problem because I am almost never parked there during their operating hours, and there is always available spots. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops and on campus so although I didnt get the opportunity to use this business - I feel I have every right to be posting this review as a potential customer. The reason I am upset enough to leave this review in the first place is because they choose to call the city on anyone parked in that lot - SEVEN hours after they are closed. I understand that they would be upset with me for being parked there during operating hours, but I thought I would be safe long after they were closed. The petty behaviour of the staff completely deterred me from using this establishment.

I loved the space from the moment I walked in — it's so bright, fun and cozy. All of the staff are super friendly, helpful and very proactive with communication. Unlike many coworking spaces I love that there are two floors with different rooms and areas — it's nice to be able to move around instead of one large space like many coworking spaces that can get really noisy. Their dedicated desks are also very affordable compared to other local spaces and include 24/7 access with is incredibly valuable as a remote employee. NEST is a great space for me as a permanently remote worker I look forward to working here and seeing the space and community continue to grow.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re seeking flexible access, the monthly membership at NEST - 120 Hughson Street South provides 24/7 access to our workspace. Hourly and day passes, however, are typically limited to regular business hours.

  • Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with NEST.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with NEST, who is more than happy to help out.
