I found the co working space to be less than desirable. $142 for a private office from 10-5 this place lacked value. At that price point you’d expect more amenities, cleanliness and maybe even a monitor to plug into. The closet space they call an office was incredibly hot and the upstairs washroom sits right above the office so of course every flush comes with a lovely amount of noise creating a very awkward pause while on calls with clients. The gentleman who I assume works there was hacking up snot loudly that could be heard through the closed door while on meetings that was called out by my clients that I was on a zoom with. I was shocked at how high the ratings were all things considered. Upside I did make a nice new friend in the form of a spider in the “private office” not great friends not great at all.

I rented an office for a year with Fokus, and found that it perfectly met my needs for starting my small private practice: Accessible entryways and washrooms; modern office space with a dimmer switch (therapists, iykyk); a waiting room, a kitchen stocked with coffee, tea and water; digital key and push-button locks on all major entryways (which made me feel very safe working later hours alone). Everyone I ever crossed paths with was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they were super fast to respond to any concerns or requests. I ended up needing to move to a larger space, but I would have stayed at my office at Fokus otherwise. Special shoutout to Wendy, who is not only an attentive and helpful point person for the admin side, but is also has just a really lovely and warm vibe that made any inconveniences or concerns that did come up over the course of a year seem like an easy fix. Highly recommend to anyone, especially therapists starting out.

Great place to work! Definitely recommend it for getting work done! Booked the space late one night because internet where we were staying went down. They confirmed our reservation and promptly assisted us with any questions we had - it was almost midnight! The team here is so responsive and kind. Plenty of snacks and coffee on location with cafes, restaurants and parking surrounding it. Will be working from here in the future whenever we are in the area again.
