An incredible co-working space with high-speed internet and a quiet atmosphere. Comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for getting work done.

This building contains so many places for people to help with personal projects. I am an amateur woodworker and my better half is a quilter, we are both able to use the facilities to help us with any project we are able to bring with us.

Was incorrectly informed (not CRI's fault) by employees at the Richard Squires building that this facility offers 3D printing services in general, and they also said it was free. I traveled here Dec 2nd 2025 around 4:00PM, there is no reception area so I went upstairs and saw the 3D printer lab. Spoke to an mid-30/40s gentleman and asked if they do 3D printing here (we are standing next to four 3D printers). He says they don't unless you're a member, which he then asked "where I was from". What I was looking to get printed is for personal use so I didn't mention my employment or education, I just replied "here?" in a questioning manner (for the record I have CNA and MUN student IDs). He then asked what I was looking to print, I informed him it was just a small tray for organizing spare parts. He then asked if I had WHIMS, which I do not use the acronym everyday, I wasn't sure what he was referring to, I assumed it was a file type for the 3D printer. I replied "I'm not sure what that is", in which he condescendingly said "If you don't know what it is, you don't have it". Inappropriate, belittling and needless comment, which immediately set me on edge. "Could you tell me what that is?" I asked. He said "Workplace safety". So yes I have WHMIS training done from several past employments AND my current employment with a federal contractor, but no I apologize I didn't recognize what the acronym was immediately. Keep in mind this is just to try and 3D print a small organizing tray which cost $15 on ETSY (trying to save shipping cost). After I informed him that I've had the training done, he mumbled the membership was $100 monthly, plus I would have to provide my own spool after 3 hours of printing time. I asked if I could just buy off their spools (about 8 on the table), which he said we could do that instead (he should have just lead with that, instead of me having to go get my own spool). I asked how can I signup and he vaguely pointed at a QR code and said "start there to join." At this point I was done with the conversation, since he clearly didn't give a shit frankly. I'm unsure if he was a volunteer or employee, or even if this place is a "for-profit" enterprise or for a public use, but this was the worst pitch I've ever heard to a potential paying customer. I am reading online now there is a Tuesday night drop off printing option? Unsure why he just didn't tell me that, but he handled the conversation so poorly I can only assume he wasn't representing the organization. I would have gladly paid over the cost of the plastic and printer time to have my small item printed, but this interaction made me do something I never do, leave a google review.

The Centre for Research and Innovation in Corner Brook is an incredible coworking space. They offer private meeting rooms and “cone of silence” booths where you can take video calls or sensitive meetings without disturbing anyone. The atmosphere is creative and welcoming, and the programs they offer—many of them free—are amazing community builders, from Lego nights to upcycling and innovation workshops. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely invested in helping people grow ideas and connect. A fantastic resource for entrepreneurs, remote workers, and the community.
