This airport has a great artwork in the terminal. The train is also free from the nearby outlet 5 minutes away. There are also free shuttles to the South Terminal as well

The airport itself is pretty nice but the staff are absolutely inept. They are unfriendly, seem to have only the vaguest idea of what they are doing, and even on the best of days are slow as molasses.

2025.09.10 YVR Vancouver International Airport is another overly large airport facility where you have to walk everywhere inside. SkyTrain connects with the airport, you're charged a surcharge leaving the airport on SkyTrain on a single fare. Nexus is located at the airport for the trusted traveler program. Wheelchairs are available when requested, but their wheelchair design isn't equipped to carry luggage underneath the seat as in the US, so the passenger has to hold on to their carry-on luggage. There is an airport lounge you may pay to visit, pay an extra fee for a shower also. Bring along your own food and fill your water bottle after clearing security. I like visiting Japadog at the far end of the domestic terminal for their B1. Large Curry Tonkatsu Donburi. It's a very long walk.
