TLDR: Great space, friendly and helpful staff, good amenities. Needs a bit of a refresh, and some snacks would be nice. I've been visiting this Spaces five days a week for a few months now, and I really enjoy working here. The space is clean and bright, with plenty of seating options. The staff are always friendly and ready to help, there are plenty of amenities; including a shower, kitchen, lounge spaces and quiet rooms, and there's plenty of light. The place plays quiet music that never seems to bother me while I'm working, it blends into the background well without being a nuisance. The place is generally well kept and clean — though it needs a bit of a refresh as some fixtures are getting a bit tired. There are simple snacks provided (biscuits and TimTams) but it would be great to have something more healthy like a snack bar with fruit and nuts or something. Otherwise, I’m enjoying my time here.

Unfortunately the standards of this centre have declined significantly over the last 4 to 5 months. Previously the centre was very well maintained, bathrooms and kitchens were clean, housekeeping was very good and the usual office amenities such as coffee, tea, fresh fruit and an honesty bar were all provided. Unfortunately this has now been completely rolled back. These are basic things that one could reasonable expect to be offered in an office environment in 2025 and were factored into our (high) fees. The fact that these have now all been taken away has not been reflected in any price reductions and we are now paying for services/perks that we no longer receive. The previous cleaning company (that was doing an excellent job) has been replaced with one that doesn't seem to know how to even mop a floor, let alone the fact that the communal fridge was allowed to go mouldy and was not cleaned for weeks on end, seemingly going completely unnoticed by staff and management. The bathrooms are disgusting (to put it mildly) even first thing in the morning when no one has even arrived yet. Soaps and hand towels are not being replenished, air fresheners are not being replaced and very obvious marks on floors and communal areas go untouched for weeks on end as well as dirty dishes/rubbish in communal areas being left there overnight and all day the next day. More importantly there is also a rodent infestation that despite being flagged to centre management for weeks has not been properly addressed. We consistently make centre management aware of new evidence of mice that are being left in our office and when we come in the next day it has not been cleaned up at all. The air conditioning is also extremely varied. We go from being freezing cold to overheating in the space of minutes and no matter what the technician does nothing seems to be able to fix it. What is most disappointing about this is that when these concerns are raised to higher management we are met with dismissive, unhelpful and unconcerned attitudes, obvious template email responses and promises of rectification with no action despite the best efforts of our in-centre management. When there are better, cleaner, more modern and better managed Serviced Offices available at similar or better prices in the immediate area I definitely would not recommend Spaces Richmond.

I used to be a big fan of Spaces in Richmond, but unfortunately, it has drastically deteriorated over the past 5 months. What was once a professional and enjoyable office space has now become a bit of a nightmare. After numerous emails and complaints about cleanliness and rodent issues, they are finally making some adjustments, but the damage has already been done. The real issue lies in their complete inflexibility as a company. When I requested an early release from my contract due to the unhygienic environment, their response was dismissive. Instead of considering a reasonable solution, they suggested moving to another Spaces location with no understanding or flexibility in allowing us to exit without penalty. To make matters worse, the only grounds for early termination they mentioned were liquidation, bankruptcy, or death—completely unacceptable given the conditions. Since then, I’ve found that there are many other coworking spaces nearby in Richmond and Cremorne that are far better maintained and offer much better value for money. I cannot recommend Spaces or IWG at this point.
