I spent a bit of time working from here. The Hive was a great place initially but has gone down hill. Feels like the client is no longer important. I think Mr Pratt has moved onto other things and forgotten about this business Centre. The lady on reception can be very rude and unhelpful too.

Overall Hive is a good coworking spot in a great location. Others there are friendly even as casual. Great location. However, several downsides. A couple of years ago they had running hot cold water filtered on tap. Now theres no filtered water or water cooler just a single tap. For hot theres a kettle not instant hot on tap. Most other cowroking spaces have hot cold filtered water. The air con is also not that reliable on hot days, it feels stuffy. And finally car parking is a real issue as onsite parking is only for tower tenants. So yes its good value, but the amenities are not there if you are using interstate or big city coworking. Theres no real public transport in regional qld even with a bus outside. I dont recall the space issues a few months back, and no cold water which is a cheap fix is annoying! On the plusside its opposite sunshine plaza so you can park 3hrs free and eat there. Restaurants a bit sparse. Good but not as good as it could be.

We spent two days discussing a virtual office package and we're about to sign an agreement however when we asked if we could use the address in our letterhead / email etc, we were told that we could not. The virtual office package is supposed to include the collection of mail and so I'm not sure how our Clients will know where to send mail if we can't provide them with the address. Also, how is a Client to know where to come for meetings if you can't give them the address? When we tried to get clarity on the issue, we were told that the person we needed to deal with was away from their desk and would return our call. When we did receive a call 20 minutes later, we were then advised that the Manager 'had just decided that they would not be offering virtual services'. If you didn't want our business, you just had to say so. Extremely unprofessional!
