Herb Urban supplied us with a wall in our garden with 95 plants including a wide range of herbs, vegetables and ornamentals which are watered and fed automatically via a solar panel. We could hardly be more delighted with it

Unfortunately my experience has not been great. The wood used on our herb urban has peeled and rotted. In 2023 Jared agreed to replace the wood if we purchased the wood ourselves. We contacted Jared to say we were ready to go ahead with this and were told the offer no longer stood. Yes it has been several months between the agreement, however it was an agreement. I believe the wrong wood was chosen for this outside product. It's super unfortunate as we really enjoyed supporting a local small business. Thank you for your response to my post. I have contacted you via email twice, and you told me in both emails you would not be fixing the issue. There was no discussion, you made it clear that it was not being rectified. Please don't make me out to be some monster for putting up a review of something I consider an agreement you have decided not to honour. I do support small business, which is proven with my purchase through your business. In regards to the time lapse, life happens for people, I'm sure you have experienced that also.

I recently bought my foodcube from Herb Urban in Newcastle, and am delighted with its performance. The plant growth is lush and rapid, and due to its 'bottom up' watering method, the foodcube is amazingly water efficient and weeds are at a minimum. Also, Jared & Claire are very helpful and friendly.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please reach out to Herb Urban for more detailed information on membership options and pricing.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Herb Urban.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Herb Urban, who is more than happy to help out.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
