Coworking operator Canopy signed a lease for a 40,000 sq. ft. historic building at 102 Montgomery St. in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

The brick structure leased by Canopy has been vacant since the 1970s. After 18 months of restoration by the Presidio Trust, designer Yves Behar will step in to complete the building’s refurbishment with a custom buildout spanning the site\u2019s three floors and basement.<\/p>\n

\u201cCANOPY Presidio will represent our most idyllic location and design,\u201d says Yves Behar, co-founder of Canopy and CEO of fuseproject, in an interview<\/a>. \u201cWe are custom designing every element of the interior and furniture to mirror the historical beauty of the building and surrounding landscape. Our aim is to provide our members a state-of-the-art experience to do work as well as receive visitors. If comfort, inspiration and status is important to your business, CANOPY Presidio is the place to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once complete, the new coworking space will be ready to welcome both individual employees and small teams, providing amenities such as kitchens on every floor, a member-only caf\u00e9 and gym, private offices, two boardrooms, and four suites with embedded conference rooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Presidio offers an exceptional opportunity to expand our footprint in a setting unlike any other,\u201d said Bahram Mohebi, CANOPY\u2019s CEO. \u201cOur clients will benefit from an inspiring work environment that combines access to nature, amazing Bridge and Bay views, and the distinctive character of a historic building. CANOPY Presidio will be a compelling alternative to the nearby Letterman buildings.\u201d<\/p>\n
