After 16 years, Co+Hoots \u2014 the Phoenix- and Mesa, Ariz.-based coworking space and small business incubator \u2014 has a new owner. Founders Jenny Poon and Odeen Domingo have sold the company to Jaime Mu\u00f1oz, the space\u2019s managing director.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2010, Co+Hoots began as a small community space in Phoenix and has grown into two 14,000-square-foot campuses supporting more than 600 members, both in-person and virtual. In addition to bookable desks, the spaces offer meeting rooms, private offices, and event areas, alongside programs and partnerships that help members connect, learn and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n

For Poon and Domingo, Co+Hoots has always been about influence.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt didn\u2019t start as a company,\u201d Domingo said. \u201cIt started as a community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The founders continue to lead other ventures, including HUUB \u2014 a platform supporting small businesses \u2014 as well as a nonprofit foundation offering programs and scholarships for youth interested in entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Mu\u00f1oz, who joined\u00a0Co+Hoots\u00a0in 2022, plans to expand membership and revenue while keeping the focus on community.\u00a0As Co+Hoots moves into its next chapter, the focus remains the same: Creating spaces where small businesses, creatives and entrepreneurs can thrive. Partnerships with organizations like AIGA and HUSTL Financial will also provide members with educational events and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
