NedSpace, one of the oldest coworking spaces in Portland, OR, recently signed a lease agreement for an 11,500-square-foot space on the American Bank Building\u2019s eighth floor, leaving behind the location it\u2019s had for the last 11 years at 707 SW Broadway. The new space at 621 SW Morrison St. in downtown Portland faces Pioneer Courthouse Square and is just a short walk from the city\u2019s riverbank.<\/p>\n
NedSpace targets clients that want to build their own specialized communities, whether they work in fields such as arts, digital solutions or multimedia production. Its owner, Faris Mubarak, sees the move as a strategic step forward, meant not only to increase NedSpace\u2019s office footprint, but also to get closer to the heart of the city. <\/p>\n
The workplace will be organized in village clusters \u2014 industry-specific micro-communities meant to create spaces where coworking clients can connect or learn from peers with similar interests. <\/p>\n
The 15-floor American Bank Building last changed hands in 2023, when it was purchased by Portland-based, family-run real estate firm Menashe Properties for $13.6 million. Other tenants include Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, CVS and Greenleaf Juice Co.<\/p>\n
NedSpace was founded in 2009 by Mark Grimes and Josh Friedman before it was acquired by Jorge Guzman in 2021. Mubarak, who has been a member at NedSpace since 2017, purchased the company in 2024. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
