General Provision is truly a Glorious Provision! In mid-2026, I traveled to my hometown of Fort Lauderdale to reconnect with friends and plant the seeds of a new life chapter. As a communications consultant, I've worked from coworking spaces over the years. On this budget-conscious trip, I'd already spent a day working from a friend's living room and a local community center. So when an ad for GP appeared on my LinkedIn feed, I felt compelled to check them out. The morning after an exploratory call with GP's owner, I took a 10-minute Uber ride to their downtown Fort Lauderdale office, where Brooklyn gave me a terrific tour and walked me through pricing options. I was impressed—and ended up working from their Open Space for the rest of the day. Although the building is at least 60 years old, GP's interior design reflects a modernist style that balances warmth and welcome with a fresh, cutting-edge tech vibe—all elevated by their staff, their clients, and a genuinely hip coffeehouse and café. The space cultivated a creative energy that helped me focus, gain clarity, forge a new business connection, and get my work done, all with a smile on my face. I returned the next day, bought a day pass, and picked up right where that creative momentum left off. I've been navigating some personal and professional transitions lately, and I'm seriously considering a move back to Fort Lauderdale. The region has grown up, and so have I. General Provision gave me more than a workspace; it gave me a sense of community and connection. Honestly, it might be the deciding factor that brings me back home. If you're just looking for a simple place to work, you'll find no shortage of options in Fort Lauderdale. But if you want something more, General Provision won't just meet your needs, it'll deliver a genuine sense of connection, community, and excellence. I can't wait for my next trip to Fort Lauderdale, in part because I know I'll get to work from GP again. KL

General Provision is one of the best things that has happened to Fort Lauderdale! :) It’s always blooming with people, events, conversations, and new ideas, making it such a pleasant and inspiring place to work. There’s a real sense of creativity and community here. My favorite part is the little libraries on every floor - there’s something special about being surrounded by books and ideas.

I’m so glad I decided to join this club! It’s been such a breath of fresh air for my daily routine. The space itself is great, but the team is really what sets it apart. Huge shout-out to Juan, Raul, and Chris for the amazing job they do. They are consistently friendly and go out of their way to make sure everyone is taken care of. From the day-to-day management, cleanliness, to the special member events, they handle it all with so much effort and professionalism. It really makes a difference when the staff knows your name and makes you feel at home!

I had my first experience using a shared workspace at General Provision in downtown Fort Lauderdale, and I truly could not have asked for a better one. I was coming in from out of town, unfamiliar with the area, and honestly pretty stressed and tired. I had booked a meeting room without ever visiting before and was trying to coordinate a team meeting ahead of Cruise360—including a food delivery that showed up earlier than expected. It was one of those moments where everything felt a little chaotic. That’s where Hershey completely changed the experience. From the very beginning, she met me with so much kindness, patience, and grace. I had trouble figuring out building access, wasn’t sure where I was going, and even called her in a bit of a panic—and not once did she make me feel like a burden. She was calm, thoughtful, and incredibly supportive the entire time. I also know she gave me more time and flexibility than I technically paid for, which did not go unnoticed. The meeting room itself was fantastic, but what really stood out was the level of care and hospitality. That kind of experience sticks with you. Because of Hershey, I will absolutely be back the next time I’m in Fort Lauderdale, and I’ll be recommending General Provision to others without hesitation.
