I did a tour of this space looking for a 1 person office starting in October. I was disappointed with my experience while considering this coworking space. The manager did not thoroughly go over all of the available amenities with me, and the deposit requirements and breakdown of the costs were not explained with full transparency after speaking with some other people. Before I left, she mentioned that there would be hummus available if I wanted to try it. Only then did I learn that there was a kitchen and that they provide light bites to people using the space each day. These are helpful things to know when someone is considering becoming a client and evaluating what is included. More importantly, I was not taken seriously as a potential client. That was especially puzzling because this is a coworking environment where people appeared dressed very casually, including hoodies and other informal clothing. Yet I walked away wondering what about me caused the manager to seemingly decide that I was not a serious prospective client. As a woman visiting the space alone, I should receive the same professional treatment, information, and consideration as anyone else who walks through the door. I cannot say what motivated the interaction, but I was dismissed rather than welcomed as a potential paying client. A prospective client should not have to prove that they belong there before receiving complete information about the space, amenities, pricing, and deposits. If they do need to prove they belong there, then they need to write on the website: “Only for men our critical eye approves of…extreme casual wear and hoodies approved. Women if you don’t meet the standards of our critical eye regardless of how polished or not you look, then prove it.” This begs the question, “How hard is it to just treat others as you would like to be treated?”

very quiet, very spacious ad very well operated

I attended a lovely retreat hosted at Willow Workplace. The 3.5 hour event included breath work with Mike, I had no idea breath work could be so relaxing. Next was a sound bath with Danny, this was my first outdoor sound bath experience and it it did not disappoint. The evening wrapped up with a group chat about chakras with Mathilde. She lead us in a seated meditation that was very grounding. I left the event much more relaxed than when I arrived, I am hoping to attend another retreat style event soon. I will be recommending this space to others, it is very beautiful piece of heaven in the middle of Menlo Park.

Willow Workplace is a total hidden gem! The space is spacious, bright, and in a prime location. Between the garden courtyard, on-site gym, and yoga sessions, it’s a perfect setup. The front desk team is incredible—always helpful and even double as talented chefs. Highly recommend!
